Making an omelet needs patience, practice, and experience. If you have learnt it you can make it. Omelets are very easy to make even 12-year-old boys can make them but making a good omelet is an art. The omelet recipe of French omelet is one of the most renowned recipes. The perfect French omelet should be soft and pale (not browned just cooked).

Preparation

Take three eggs and whisk them. Whisking the eggs is the first important step in making a French omelet. Three eggs will make one large omelet. Whisk the eggs continuously for at least 1 minute. You can use a fork for whisking instead of a spoon for better results. After the liquid has become uniform then add a pinch of white and black pepper.

Butter is used to make French omelets instead of oil.  Use a non-stick pan for making this type of omelet.

Melt the butter and then add the whisked egg. To make this recipe the flame must be medium. The sound of oil when eggs are added should not be heard. Use the spatula and slowly mix them around the pan.

Once you feel the lower side is cooked without browning, then slowly shape it into a roll with the help of a spatula. Let it rest on low flame. The authentic omelet is ready but if you want to add cheese in the omelet then while rolling the omelet add cheese. Remember the authentic omelet has no cheese. It is made by using only butter, salt, and pepper.

For serving this super tasty dish use chives on top of it.

Cheese Omelet

The cheese omelet is super soft and mild in taste. It is totally different from the French omelet. Milk is used too to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of pepper
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • Cheese

Step no 1

The first step includes whisking the eggs. Add the eggs in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, and butter to eggs. Whisk the eggs for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step no 2

Step 2 in the recipe for the cheese omelet includes cooking. For making the omelet use a non-sticky pan and melt the butter at low flame. For this recipe, the flame should be low. The low flame makes the omelet soft and fluffy. Pour eggs into the pan and spread all over. This type of omelet is made a little crispy from the edges and soft from the center. Once the lower side is cooked flip the egg side.

Step no 3

After flipping the omelet cover the omelet and add cheese to it. Cook until the cheese is melted. The finest cheese omelet is ready. Must try this omelet.

Onion and tomato omelet

Onion Tomato Omelet

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons for frying
  • 3 pinch of salt
  • Half a teaspoon of red chili powder
  • Half a medium-sized tomato into small cubes
  • Half a medium onion into small cubes
  • 2 green chilli into small pieces

Preparation

This type of omelet is made in the subcontinent. This is a very tasty omelet.

Step no 1

Combine all eggs, salt, chili, tomatoes, and onions in a bowl. Mix for 1 to 2 minutes until combined properly.

Step no 2

Heat the oil in a pan. The flame should be medium to cook this omelet. Pour the eggs when the oil is heated. Spread the eggs and vegetables. Cook until the lower side is lightly browned. Flip the egg side carefully to cook the other side.

Step no 3

Once the omelet is cooked, serve it with green coriander leaves. This is one of the most loved omelet recipes in Spain. This is crispy outside and soft inside and made with olive oil.

Spanish Potato Omelet

Spanish Omelet

Ingredients:

  • 1 large potato
  • Salt and pepper as per taste
  • Olive oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 2 tomatoes peeled and chopped

Preparation

Step no 1

Heat the olive oil, add the potatoes with salt and pepper, and stir fry them until golden brown for 10 minutes. Then add onions and cook them for 5 minutes until soft and light brown.

Step no 2

Add the whisked egg with salt and pepper to the potatoes, lower the flame, and cook until the eggs are a bit crispy and evenly cooked. Then after that flip the side and cook the other side of the egg.

Step no 3

When the eggs are fully cooked serve it with fresh tomatoes and onion.

Chicken Omelet

Chicken and Tomato omelet

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams of boneless chicken
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 onion into small cubes
  • 2 tomatoes into cubes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chilli powder half teaspoon

Step no 1

Cut the chicken into small cubes. Heat the oil and stir fry chicken and onion until golden brown. Add salt and red chili powder with tomatoes and cook until chicken is tender.

Step no 2

Add the whisked eggs to the chicken. Eggs should be whisked in salt. After adding them to the chicken mash the egg and leave to cook on low flame for about 3 to 4 minutes.

Step no 3

Once the eggs are cooked serve them with coriander leaves.
