Elon Musk and Latest AI Chatbot Grok-2

Elon Musk’s xAI previews Grok-2, Grok-2 mini

Like ChatGPT and Copilot Elon Musk has also launched AI-powered chatbot Grok. It has two new models that it has shown. Grok can now produce graphics and is purportedly outfitted with sophisticated reasoning to perform jobs like writing code.

On Elon Musk’s social networking site, X, individuals who have purchased the Premium and Premium+ subscriptions may test the recently announced Grok-2 and Grok-2 Mini in beta.

“We are excited to release an early preview of Grok-2, a significant step forward from our previous model Grok-1.5, featuring frontier capabilities in chat, coding, and reasoning. At the same time, we are introducing Grok-2 mini, a small but capable sibling of Grok-2. An early version of Grok-2 has been tested on the LMSYS leaderboard under the name ‘sus-column-r,’” xAI said in a blog post on Wednesday, August 14.

Generating images using Grok-2

The aspect that is receiving the most attention is the new AI model’s ability to generate images, even if several app researchers and beta testers have asserted that Grok-2 is now more proficient at writing code, producing prose, and summarizing news.

Not long after Grok-2 was made available to a restricted number of people, those who had access to the chatbot began sharing pictures on X that they claimed were made using Grok. Some of them were quick to point out that no safeguards are included in the text-to-image paradigm since you may utilize Grok’s functionality to make controversial, photo-realistic portraits of politicians and other notable persons.

For example, according to The Verge, Grok was able to be instructed to produce AI pictures of US presidential candidate Donald Trump dressed in a Nazi outfit, Vice President Kamala Harris with a pistol, and a lewd photo of well-known artist Taylor Swift.

There have been many worries that AI-generated material may be used to propagate false information on platforms like X when US voters travel to the polls later this year.

Grok appears to be merged with FLUX.1, a brand-new diffusion model created by Black Forest Labs, an AI business established by former Stability AI developers, based on the text that goes with some of the AI-generated photos.

Future of Elon Musk’s Grok

According to xAI, in the upcoming weeks, developers will be able to access the latest iterations of Grok via its API. Additionally, the business wants to enhance response, post analytics, and search features on X by rolling out Grok-2 and Grok-2 small.

It went on to say that X users and developers may also get access to Grok’s multimodal understanding capabilities.
